Three builds. One license.

Mac, Windows on Intel or AMD, and Windows on ARM. Whichever you take, the same key unlocks it — you are buying the software, not a platform.

This is the whole application, free to try. It runs as Queue Up with every feature working and nothing held back. Enter a licence and the same copy becomes Queue Up Pro — a new name, a red PRO ribbon on the icon, and no trial clock. There is no second installer and nothing to download again.

Latest version 1.8.38 · released September 8, 2026. Check yours in the app under Settings ▸ Licence.

Pre-release

macOS

Universal — Apple Silicon and Intel · macOS 13 Ventura or later

Macs sold since late 2020 have Apple Silicon; anything older is Intel, and the two need different builds. The line above says which this one is — it is read from the file itself, so it cannot describe a build we are not actually serving.

Pre-releaseLegacy architecture

Windows — Intel / AMD

x64 (Intel and AMD) · Windows 10 or later, 64-bit

x64 is the older of the two Windows architectures and by far the more common — if your PC is more than a couple of years old, this is the one. It also runs on ARM machines through emulation, so it is the safe answer when in doubt.

Pre-release

Windows — ARM

ARM64 (Snapdragon) · Windows 11 on ARM

Native ARM, so it runs at full speed and is easier on the battery. If it will not install, take the Intel/AMD build instead — it works on these machines too, just through emulation.

These are pre-release builds. The application is complete and the trial is the whole thing — what is still being shaken out is the edges, on machines we do not have. Nothing here is a demo and nothing is held back.

Tell me when it is out of pre-release

One key, every version. One license key covers every version. Mac, Windows Intel and Windows ARM, on the machines your license allows — install whichever you need, switch platform whenever you like, and never buy it twice.

Which version am I entitled to?

Only worth doing if your twelve months of updates have passed and you are reinstalling. Paste the licence key from the shop and it will find the last build your licence covers. Nothing here is required — every download on this page works without it.

Downloading a version newer than the ones you own. Nothing here stops you, and it will run — the software never phones home and never refuses to play. But if this release came out after your twelve months of updates, it is not a version you have paid for, and Settings ▸ License will say so. If you want the newer versions, they are on the pricing page; if you would rather stay where you are, the build your licence covers is kept in the archive of earlier versions. Either is fine. We are asking, not enforcing.

First launch, while we are still pre-release: macOS will say the developer cannot be verified — right-click the app and choose Open, then confirm. Once only. Windows SmartScreen will warn that the publisher is unrecognized — click More info, then Run anyway. Both go away once the code-signing certificates are in place, which is exactly what the pre-release period is paying for.

If you are not sure

Which one do I need?

Ninety seconds of checking now beats finding out in a venue. If you get it wrong, nothing breaks — download the other one, same key.

Installing it

On a Mac

Take the macOS build. It is universal: one file that runs natively on Apple Silicon (M1 and later) and on Intel Macs. You do not have to know which you have.

To check anyway: menu ▸ About This Mac. “Chip” means Apple Silicon, “Processor” means Intel.

On a PC

Almost certainly the Intel / AMD (x64) build. That is what nearly every PC in the world runs, including every machine more than a couple of years old.

Take the ARM build only if you have a recent Copilot+ PC or a Surface with a Snapdragon processor — it runs natively there, which is faster and kinder to the battery.

To check: Settings ▸ System ▸ About, and read System type. It says either “x64-based processor” or “ARM-based processor”.

What “legacy architecture” means on this page. It is about the processor, not the software — every build is the same version of Queue Up, released together, with every feature. x64 is the older of the two Windows architectures and still the overwhelmingly common one, so “legacy” there means most people, not out of date. It is also the safer choice when you are unsure, because it runs on ARM machines too, through emulation. The reverse is not true.

Before you run it in front of an audience

Three things worth doing the day it arrives, not on show day.

1. Train your remote

Pair whatever remote you own, open Settings ▸ Remote control and press its buttons. The app shows you exactly what each one sends — click Learn beside an action, press the button, and it is assigned. Ten seconds each, and it is remembered for ever.

Which remotes work

2. Build one real show

Add the tracks, drag them into order, drop your stings onto pads, then Save As. Star it, and it is one click away every night after that.

3. Set “when a track finishes”

For live work, choose Stop, and cue up the next track. One press of the remote then plays exactly one track — no surprise segues.
