🌀 Hypnotists

Sound for a hypnosis show

A hypnosis show is the one performance where the music underneath matters as much as anything said over it — and where stopping it at the wrong moment undoes twenty minutes of work.

Fade length, and what a second press does. Set long enough that the induction bed falls away rather than stopping, and it will never cut on you mid-suggestion.

The bed has to keep running

Most players treat one sound at a time as normal: press the next thing and the last thing stops. That is exactly wrong here. Your induction bed needs to run for twenty minutes underneath everything, while the wake cue, the countdown, the sting for the volunteer who has forgotten their own name all land on top of it and get out of the way again.

What that looks like in practice

The bed goes in the playlist and plays for as long as it needs to. Every cue goes on a pad set to overlay, which plays it over the top and ducks the bed automatically while it sounds — the bed drops in volume, the cue lands clearly, and the bed comes back up on its own — the movement a sound engineer would be making on a desk for you all night. 25% is the default, and it is adjustable or can be turned off if you would rather ride it yourself. Nothing you press during the induction can stop the induction. When the set ends, one press fades the bed out over as long as you like, up to fifteen seconds.

Both hands are usually busy

You are working a volunteer, not a laptop. Pair any Bluetooth remote and teach it your buttons in about ten seconds each — the app shows you exactly what a button sent, so there is no compatibility list to check. Or put a cheap Bluetooth numeric keypad on the table and let the numbers fire the pads: no setup at all, because the computer already thinks it is a keyboard.

Nothing in it can phone home

The application makes no network calls whatsoever — there is no activation server, no account, and no telemetry. A venue with no signal changes nothing, and no notification, ad or buffering spinner can arrive in the middle of a set. Your license is checked on your own machine.

What matters most here

A soundman you do not have to book

Overlay pads duck the bed for you — the music eases down under the cue and comes back up afterward, which is the movement an engineer would be making on a desk all night. It is the reason a general music player will not do.

Fades up to fifteen seconds

Coming out of a deep induction with a hard cut is a bad idea. Press Stop twice if you ever do want the hard out.

The cursor is not the playing track

Line up the next thing while the bed is still running, without touching what the room can hear.

Rename anything

“SLEEP CUE” and “WAKE — 3 2 1” read from across a dark room. The file on disk is untouched.

What it does not do. It is a player and a sound wall, not a therapy tool: there is nothing in it that generates tones, binaural beats or scripts. You bring your own audio.

Questions

Can I fire a cue without stopping the induction music?

Yes — that is what overlay pads are for. The cue plays over the bed and the bed dips while it sounds, then comes back up on its own. The bed never stops unless you stop it.

What happens if the venue has no wifi?

Nothing. The application makes no network calls at all, ever — not to check a license, not to check for updates. It behaves identically in a basement with no signal.

Can I run a twenty-minute bed and a wall of cues at the same time?

Yes. Long tracks stream from disk, while every pad under a minute is decoded into memory when the show loads so the first press is instant rather than merely quick.

Try it on your own show

30 days, every feature, nothing removed at the end — the app keeps opening, it simply stops starting audio until a licence is entered. Test it against your own remote, your own interface and your own files before you decide. Download it, read the full feature list, or see which remote to buy. Already bought? Get your licence.

Something here not quite your situation? Tell us what you run — it is how most of what is in the application got there.
