Read this part first
This is a stereo player. It sends one stereo pair to whatever output your computer is set to use. It does not do click tracks on a separate output, and it does not play stems or multitracks. If you need a click to the drummer and the band on another channel, you want a multitrack player instead, and you should not buy this. If you are a solo act or a duo running finished stereo tracks to the desk, read on — this is built for exactly that.
The setlist is the point
Put the songs in order and each press of one button starts the next one, exactly one at a time. Reorder by dragging, right up to the moment you walk on. Star the set as a favorite and the whole thing — order and all — comes back next time in one click, so Friday’s function and Saturday’s pub set are two clicks rather than two setups.
Between songs is where gigs go wrong
Set it to stop after every track and the next song sits cued, waiting. Talk to the room for as long as you like; nothing rolls on underneath you. Or set the play key to skip straight into the next song with no gap and no fade, if the set runs continuously.
Hands on the guitar
A Bluetooth page-turner pedal is the usual answer, and the app learns whatever it sends in about ten seconds. Leaning on it does not fire the song twice — a held button counts as one press, however long you hold it.
What matters most here
No network, ever
Nothing to buffer and nothing to interrupt you. Airplane mode changes nothing.
Stops mean stops
A track ending does not start the next one unless you have asked it to.
Fade or cut
End a song gracefully, or dead, chosen in the moment.
WAV and FLAC as well as MP3
Play the master you were given rather than a re-encode of it.
What it does not do. No click track, no stems, no separate outputs, no tempo or key change, and no lyrics or chord display. It plays finished stereo audio, in the order you choose, when you press the button.
Questions
Can I send a click track to my in-ears?
No. The app plays one stereo pair to your system output, so a click on a separate channel is outside what it does. A solo act sending stereo tracks to the desk is the case it fits.
Will the tracks play gapless?
You choose. Set it to stop between songs — the usual choice, so you can talk — or set the play key to skip straight into the next track with no gap and no fade.
What file types can it play?
MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, OGG, Opus and FLAC. Protected files bought from a streaming service will not open, because the app neither checks nor circumvents copy protection.
Try it on your own show
30 days, every feature, nothing removed at the end — the app keeps opening, it simply stops starting audio until a licence is entered. Test it against your own remote, your own interface and your own files before you decide. Download it, read the full feature list, or see which remote to buy. Already bought? Get your licence.
